I've been painting and writing since I was very young, and I became fascinated by animated films growing up. Along with my regular course load, I studied art and art history courses all through high school, and when the time came for post-secondary studies I decided to pursue animation. That program helped me learn to bring life and colour into my work, along with a sense of humour, scale, planning, and structure.

After college, I branched out into computer animation and interactive media, eventually leading to work in IT, however I still manage to work on both personal and commissioned pieces, along with cartooning, as often as possible. I really enjoy the absurdities that come to mind from everyday life, and very often wind up sketching these out for development into finished pieces at a later date.

I work in traditional media such as watercolour, oil paint, acrylic, and in digital media with commercial illustration software, taking inspiration and ideas from just about anywhere for both paintings and cartoons.
